Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Local storage in your browser works in a similar way. This policy covers both.
How We Use Cookies
Formform uses cookies for several important purposes:
- To keep you signed in to your account
- To remember your preferences and settings
- To understand how you use our platform
- To improve our services and user experience
- To ensure security and prevent fraud
What We Use
Essential
Clerk keeps you signed in, and Paddle runs the checkout. Your browser also stores your cookie choice. These always run, and you cannot turn them off.
Visit counts without cookies: Umami and Vercel Speed Insights
Umami counts page visits, and Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load. They set no cookies and build no profile of you, so they run without your consent. They receive the page address, browser details and your IP address. On a Client's invite pages, neither receives the invite ID.
Product analytics: PostHog
PostHog runs only if you accept. It stores an ID in cookies and local storage to recognise your browser. It records the pages you visit, your clicks and your sessions, with all text and form inputs masked. After you sign in to the app, it links them to your name and email. This data is not anonymous. PostHog never runs on a Client's invite and interview pages.
Error monitoring: Sentry
Sentry reports errors and slow pages so that we can fix them. It sets no cookies. An error report can include personal data, so it is not anonymous.
Product actions on our servers
Our servers count some product actions, such as a new project or a client invitation, with your account ID. This uses no cookies and does not depend on your choice in the banner. The Privacy Policy tells you how to object.
Cookies Set by Other Services
These services set their own cookies:
- Clerk, to keep you signed in
- Paddle, which runs payments in the app
- PostHog, only if you accept
Cookie Duration
Cookies may be either:
- Session cookies: These are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies: These remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them
Managing Your Choice
The cookie banner asks for your choice on your first visit. To change it, use the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer, or the "Browser analytics" setting in the app.
Your browser also lets you control cookies. You can:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block cookies from particular sites
- Block all cookies from being set
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser
Please note that if you block or delete cookies, some features of our platform may not function properly.
Browser-Specific Instructions
You can find information about managing cookies in popular browsers here:
Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. Currently, there is no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, so we do not respond to them at this time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
