Guide

Starting a project and inviting clients

Setup asks for almost nothing: a name, a client, a link. The one part worth slowing down for is the note you write about who your client is, because the interviewer reads it word for word.

Start a project

There is no intake form. A project starts empty and gets named in place: one click makes a New project, opens it, and selects the name so you can type straight over it.

Ask about your project…

Add a client

Clients are added in conversation, not in a form. You say who they are, and a card comes back with the name filled in, an optional email and a notes field. Nothing exists until you confirm it.

Write the note

Write the note the way you would brief a colleague before a first meeting. It is handed to the interviewer word for word, as context about who it is speaking to. It does not decide which topics get asked; that is worked out separately.

A thin note

Notes (optional)

True, and the interview already asks about work. It learns nothing it would not have found.

A good one

Notes (optional)

Now the interview knows who it is speaking to, what is delicate, and where to go carefully.

Send the invite

Click Invite next to a saved client and a private link is minted for that person. Copy it into your own message, or send it from here if you added their email. There is no account for them to make.

Why setup asks so little

All 12 parts

Most tools front-load a project with a form: type, budget, scope, intent. Formform asks for a name, because those answers are the work. A project that makes you guess them starts with your assumptions already inside it.
